ServicesAC Installation
Deer Park AC Installation
We put in central air sized for your house and matched to the furnace already in it. The estimate visit is free. Before the job is scheduled, you get the price in writing plus a comparison of what each choice costs now and what it will take to run and service over the years.
A new air conditioner should earn its price for years
A central air conditioner is one of the larger purchases in your home, and the sticker price is only part of it. Efficiency, how well the unit matches your indoor coil and furnace, and how much upkeep it needs decide what it really costs over fifteen years or more. We lay those numbers side by side so you can choose with the whole picture in view.
Installation is usually the right call when an older unit keeps needing repairs, still runs on R-22 refrigerant, or simply cannot keep up on the hottest afternoons. If your current system is fairly young and the problem is a single failed part, AC repair is often the better value, and we will tell you so.
Some homeowners are better served by a heat pump, which cools in summer and carries much of the heating load in spring and fall. We can quote both and walk you through how each fits your home.
What comes with a new AC installation
A real load calculation
Before we suggest a size, we measure the house and factor in insulation, windows and how much sun it gets. Too large a unit runs in short bursts, wears out early and leaves the air damp. Too small a unit never gets a break on hot days.
A unit paired with your furnace
To reach its rated efficiency, the condenser, indoor coil and furnace blower have to work together. With our gas heating mechanical license, we can make sure the coil fits your gas furnace properly and that both are set up as one system.
Pad, refrigerant lines and wiring
We set the condenser on a level pad with room for airflow and future service. Refrigerant lines are run and pressure-tested, evacuated with a vacuum before charging, and a proper disconnect is mounted at the unit.
Hauling off the old unit
Refrigerant in the old system is recovered as the rules require, and we take the equipment with us. Inside and outside, the work area is left clean.
Startup and labor coverage
We charge the refrigerant by measurement, verify temperatures and airflow, and program your thermostat. Labor on new installations is covered for up to 3 years.

Signs it may be time to replace your air conditioner
- The unit is past fifteen years
- Most central air conditioners give their best years early. Past fifteen, efficiency has usually slipped and parts become harder to justify.
- It still uses R-22
- R-22 is no longer produced, so any recharge relies on dwindling and costly supply. A leak in an R-22 system is often the point where replacement makes more sense.
- Repair bills keep adding up
- When the cost of repairs in a couple of seasons approaches a meaningful share of a new system, putting that money toward replacement usually holds up better.
- It falls behind on hot afternoons
- Late-summer heat, and smoky weeks when the windows have to stay shut, show quickly which systems cannot keep up. If rooms stay warm and the unit never shuts off, it may be undersized or worn out.
- Summer electric bills keep climbing
- A steady rise with no change in how you use your home often points to a compressor losing efficiency.
How your installation goes
- 1
Free estimate at your home
We look at your current equipment, measure the house and listen to what bothers you about the cooling now. Estimates are free on installations and replacements.
- 2
A written quote with options
You receive a written quote before any work begins, often with two or three equipment choices. Each one shows the up-front cost alongside expected efficiency and upkeep.
- 3
Installation day
Most replacements are finished in a single day. We protect floors along our path, keep the work area tidy, and let you know before we shut off power or the furnace.
- 4
Startup, walkthrough and permit
We test the system under load, show you the thermostat and filter, and explain what simple care keeps it running well. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection.
What drives the price of a new AC
Houses differ, so we price the job after we see yours. The total depends on the equipment you pick and the work needed to install it right. Each part is itemized on your written quote, so nothing pops up later.
- Capacity and SEER2 rating
- Bigger units and higher SEER2 ratings carry a higher purchase price. Better efficiency trims your monthly bills, and we estimate how long that takes to pay for itself.
- The indoor equipment
- Some existing furnaces and coils work fine with a new condenser. Others need a new coil or furnace to hit the rated efficiency, and that changes the total.
- Location and electrical needs
- Longer refrigerant lines, a new pad or a panel that needs an added circuit all mean more labor and materials.
- Permit and rebates
- Every quote includes the permit fee. When a heat pump suits your house, we help you claim Avista rebates and federal tax credits, which can shift the comparison.
Questions about AC installation
- How much time does a new AC install take?
- Most straight swaps wrap up in a day. A new coil or added electrical circuit can push it a bit longer. Your written quote lists the expected schedule.
- Will my current furnace work with a new AC?
- In many cases it will. At the estimate we look at its age, blower capacity and condition. If it can drive a new coil efficiently, we tell you; if replacing both at once is the better value over time, we explain why with the numbers.
- Is a heat pump a better choice than central air?
- That depends on your house and your heating. A heat pump cools the same way an air conditioner does and can handle heating for much of the year, typically with your furnace covering the coldest weeks. We can price both so you can compare.
- What warranty do I get on a new installation?
- We cover labor on new installations for up to 3 years. Before you sign, we go through what that covers for your system, so it is clear from day one.
- Are you licensed for this work in Washington?
- We are. We are registered as a contractor in Washington, and our gas heating mechanical license covers the furnace side of the job. We also obtain the permit your installation needs.
